New online service for bus and lorry drivers

A new online driver enquiry service has been set up to allow drivers to view how many hours of training they have completed towards their Driver CPC.

Drivers are also able to provide prospective or current employers with temporary passwords to allow them to confirm how much training the driver has completed.

The service provides access to clear, simple and up to date information showing the driver CPC qualification expiry date and the details of each training course completed.

Drivers with grandfather rights (i.e. those driving before September 2009), have until September 2014 to complete 35 hours of mandatory periodic training.

Operators should consider periodically monitoring their current drivers’ training records and any future employees.
