My first encounter with Dyne Solicitors was in 2012 as an enthusiastic (if not very nervous) work experience candidate.
I didn’t realise, when I first stood in front of the impressive building, that I was taking the first step into what would become the home of my legal career.
I could never have anticipated that work experience would result in a job as a Paralegal Trainee – to ultimately an Associate Solicitor.
What I didn’t, perhaps, appreciate as much as I should have done in those early days, was that I was surrounded by some of the most knowledgeable practitioners and that I was learning from some of the best.
Only as I have grown into my career have I truly realised the calibre of work that is undertaken from that building.
In the early stages of my career, my role was largely supplementary to the niche aspect of the market in which the firm operated – environmental, waste and road transport.
In recent years the firm has introduced a litigation department to stand alongside the transport and environmental offering.
I am hoping to establish and grow an agricultural focus which dovetails with the embedded environmental and litigation function.
However, my journey is not what makes Dyne Solicitors unique.
It is the people who make up the firm – as cliché as that may sound!
The Directors, Solicitors, Office Manager, Financial Director, Trainees and Apprentices are a genuine and true team.
Many organisations go through the motions – regurgitating buzz words about how unified their service offering is, how they are a team.
I can honestly say that here at Dyne, it is more than a tag line.
It is a genuine team of people who sincerely care.
They care about their clients and are truly passionate about their work area. They care about industry developments, and importantly, they care about each other.
No one who works here blows their own trumpet, nor do they particularly shout about their own achievements. Everyone just does their job with an enthusiasm and passion which is truly unique to this workplace.
Dyne, although ever evolving, never strays far from its expertise and niche.
It doesn’t dilute its offering by introducing ancillary limbs that have no relevance to the main practice areas.
Every decision to grow and introduce a new aspect is a conscious decision – done by design.
Despite what some may see as a narrow offering, Dyne does grow, and it does shine.
There is no doubt that Dyne will continue to grow and develop as it always has done.
I look forward to supporting Jared as he expands the reach of the already well-established Road Transport offering, and I look forward to seeing the new areas that the Environmental section will harness.
I am delighted to be part of Dyne Solicitors, and I am proud of my colleagues and for the reputation that they have established over the years.
