Putting our Office Manager and Legal Assistant, Chloe Howard, in the spotlight

My name is Chloe and as I sit down to reflect on the past two years since I began my role as Office Manager and Legal Assistant at Dyne Solicitors, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and pride.

This period has been a transformative journey, marked by significant achievements, personal growth, and the occasional challenge. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to contribute to the success of our organization and for the invaluable experiences that have shaped my professional development.

Everyday life at Dyne Solicitors

Managing the office functions on a day-to-day basis and ensuring that Fee Earners feel supported and are able to complete their role with ease is my main priority. Whilst the Fee Earners are at the forefront of the business it is the admin/support in the background which keeps the wheels in motion and ensures that their time is fully focussed on our wonderful clients.

Aiding with client onboarding and ensuring that there is always a line for communication and someone at the end of the phone to help navigate clients through what can be a stressful time is a true sign that we take pride in supporting everyone in their time of need.

One of my first major projects was to overhaul our filing system, transitioning from a largely paper-based approach to a more modern, digital solution. This not only improved accessibility and organization but also enhanced our overall efficiency. With everything digitalised it has created one central point of reference for all to see and ensured transparency and uniformity for compliance purposes.

The perks of the job

One of the most rewarding aspects of this role has been the opportunity to mentor and support junior staff members. Sharing my knowledge and helping others to develop their skills has been incredibly fulfilling, and it has reinforced the importance of teamwork and collaboration.

It has been so rewarding explaining how to navigate the various challenges they may face based on my own past-experiences as quite frankly the legal world is unpredictable! So, seeing these skills put into real life situations makes me proud of the progress made daily!

Working at Dyne Solicitors has made me acknowledge the importance of a happy and collaborative environment along with having such a supportive team who are focused on the progression of each other and the firm.

The future for Chloe

As I look to the future, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Whilst I have worked in the legal industry for in excess of 11 years, I am proud of the development that Dyne Solicitors has provided.

I started this career straight from High School at 15 as Office Junior at a previous firm undertaking an Apprenticeship in Business, once this was completed, I moved to a Legal Secretary helping in a variety of departments to gain a depth of understanding and now at Dyne Solicitors I have the title of Office Manager.

To feel acknowledged and to be invested in makes me proud of my journey in the legal profession and my experiences over the past two years have prepared me for new challenges and opportunities.

Seeing the firm go from strength to strength and really focusing on our niche expertise and the advice provided. It makes me so proud to be a part of such a wonderful firm. I look forward to the future of Dyne Solicitors and what wonderful things are ahead.
