Role - Director of Transport Services
Jared heads up the transport department and has been repeatedly listed in the Legal 500 as a leading individual for transport in the North West, as has the transport department.
Jared’s area of expertise is in Operator Licensing and Public Inquiries (PI’s) and defending DVSA prosecutions. He has represented hauliers throughout the UK and Ireland.
He is experienced representing operators at Public Inquiry in all traffic areas. He understands the appropriate documentation that is required to defend your company and how to present that evidence on the day to ensure the best possible outcome.
In respect of DVSA prosecutions, Jared has experience of handling small and large matters, anything ranging from a sole driver being prosecuted to a company and their drivers issued with over 750 summonses.
Jared understands how important an operator’s licence is to a haulier and is able to provide commercial advice in line with the regulations. Whilst Jared specialises in Road Transport Law, he also has experience in tax issues, environmental law and employment law.
In addition to practising as a Solicitor, Jared is the National Co-ordinator of the Batched on Site Association (BSA).
Jared has also been involved in meetings with the Department for Transport, various Ministers for Transport and various Traffic Commissioners to discuss the impact of proposed legislation. He has also been invited to give evidence before the Transport Select Committee.
He also regularly appears in Commercial Motor magazine.
