Corby Waste Site Raided by EA Officers

We understand Northamptonshire police assisted the Environment Agency in executing a warrant at a suspected illegal waste site in Corby, allegedly operated by Abbey Skips.

The raid resulted in 2 arrests and another individual was interviewed under caution as a volunteer. Stephen Lack was charged with operating a waste management facility without an environmental permit. He attended Northampton Magistrates’ Court, in custody, on 26th September. His case proceeded to Northampton Crown Court for trial and he was remanded in custody pending his first Crown Court appearance on 14 October 2020.

In their press release dated 18th September the EA remind everyone they have a legal duty to make sure they are handing their waste to registered carriers and their waste ends up at authorised permitted sites for treatment or disposal.
