It’s hard to believe that it has been over a decade since I joined Dyne Solicitors.
Back then I was a fresh-faced graduate, not long out of the University of York and eager to learn the ropes of the family business.
I was embraced and given a warm welcome, the familial atmosphere was undeniable.
That sense of being part of the firm stayed with me, and I am filled with gratitude for the experiences and growth I’ve encountered over the years.
The jack of all trades
My initial role as a legal assistant was diverse and dynamic, encompassing tasks from management to ensuring that fee earners operated in an efficient environment.
This “jack-of-all-trades” position provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s operations and the legal industry’s intricacies.
Over time, I gravitated towards accounts-related responsibilities, a progression that eventually led me to my current position as Finance Manager.
This transition not only aligned with my developing skills but also highlighted the firm’s commitment to nurturing talent and supporting professional development.
The enduring sense of family
Throughout my time at the company, I’ve witnessed colleagues come and go—a natural ebb and flow in any business.
Yet, the enduring essence of Dyne Solicitors lies in its ability to maintain that cherished family feel.
This continuity creates a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring that both staff and clients feel valued and understood.
It’s always great to see new starters join the firm, graduates like myself who want to make their way in the industry. I make sure I am as welcoming to them as I was made to feel over a decade ago.
As I look to the future, I am confident that Dyne Solicitors will continue to uphold these core values, adapting and thriving while preserving the unique culture that makes it an exceptional place to work.
