The Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) has been modernising its service and moving towards a fully digital service.
Since 30 September 2024, all operator’s licences due for renewal have been processed through the Vehicle Operator Licensing (VOL) service.
Movement away from certain papers forms where VOL provides a self-service function is also taking place.
The following paper forms will be withdrawn in the near future:
- TM1 – Application to add a transport manager to a licence
- GV80A – Application to change type of licence / Notification of change of transport manager
- SUR1 – Application to surrender an operator’s licence
From 31 January 2025, the TM1 and SUR1 form will be withdrawn and no longer accepted. All changes must be made via VOL system.
