Seminar Is Something To ‘CRoW’ About

Environmental law specialists Dyne Solicitors Limited are inviting land agents, estate managers, developers and surveyors to a seminar exploring key common land and countryside issues.

The seminar will take place at the firm’s offices in Tattenhall, Chester, on 22 November. Dyne Solicitors Limited will team up with experts from North Wales-based Richards, Moorehead and Laing Ltd (RML), a leader in the field of environmental, engineering and landscape technology and practice, to focus on topics including:

  • CRoW, the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, and the rights and effects of the public access to open country and registered common land that it has created
  • The Commons Act 2006 and the implications of the most significant legislation affecting common land for more than 700 years
  • New amendments to UK regulations implementing the Habitats Directive, the legal framework to protect Europe’s wildlife and habitats
  • Controlling Japanese Knotweed, a major environmental nuisance for developers and estate managers
  • Ecolaw, a useful internet tool when ecological issues arise or are found on site.

Clare Simmons, of Dyne Solicitors Limited, said: “We are delighted to be working with RML to provide delegates with practical information to ensure understanding of the legal issues involved, and how to comply with them, and guidance for handling potential problems.”

The seminar runs from 2 - 5pm and costs £23.50 per person, with a 50 per cent discount for each additional person from the same organisation. Light refreshments will be provided.
