Shrewsbury Transport Training & Consultancy
David Parry is managing director of a Shrewsbury transport, training and consultancy firm and acts as a transport consultant for Dyne Solicitors. His company provides management training, transport management training and compliance courses, as well as carrying out compliance investigations for the firm of solicitors.
Mr Parry’s relationship with Dyne Solicitors began three years ago, following a recommendation from one of his clients. He was tempted away from a local solicitor by the firm’s expertise in transport legislation and compliance.
The alliance is a two-way street: Dyne Solicitors provide Shrewsbury Transport Training with clients that require his training services, and in return, he passes clients that are due in court or facing a Public Inquiry on to the solicitors.
In addition, Mr Parry appears as an expert witness for Dyne Solicitors at various court cases and sits in on interviews with haulage firms to guide them through the process.
“I have got a very good name from working with Dyne Solicitors,” says Mr Parry. “This has given me a foundation to build on. Clients come to me through word of mouth or by reading the history of a particular court case or Public Inquiry on the Internet.”
Mr Parry says specifically of Kathryn Lucas, Associate Solicitor at Dyne Solicitors, “Kathryn Lucas is very, very good. The level of service and quality of work is indicative of what I have come to expect from Dyne Solicitors.”
He would recommend Kathryn to anyone in the transport industry, as she is “very professional and thorough, and always gets a good result”. In fact, he has already recommended Kathryn to quite a few of his clients, and three or four are currently using Dyne Solicitors.
“Kathryn is part of a very good team at Dyne Solicitors; she is easy to speak to and very down to earth. Kathryn provides an honest, truthful and fair assessment, due to her expert understanding of the situation, so companies know where they stand.
“The operator is not given the worst case scenario, but an explicit and very detailed script of what will happen. They are then very well prepared and know what to expect in questioning.”
